Welcome to C4 Cattle and thank you for looking at our web page. My name is John David Cass. I, along with my wife, Carolyn and two boys have embarked on a wonderful journey of raising and showing cattle. Both my wife and I are from a ranching and farming background. I grew up in Odem, Texas where we now call home; while Carolyn grew up in Mathis, a short distance to the west of Odem. We met in high school while competing at our local county show, and both continued our education graduating from Texas A&M University. We have been married for 18 years now and have two sons.

Our boys are quickly following in our footsteps. They both enjoy cattle showing, our oldest competes in livestock judging contest across the state. It is for them that we strive hard to achieve what we do in life. Showing livestock has kept the family busy and involved, and as an added bonus we have met many great and outstanding people along the way. It is these people that we owe a debt of gratitude. If it were not for the generosity and kindness of one the cattle industry's greatest ambassadors, I may never have had the opportunity to be introduced to one of the breeds of cattle we have chosen to raise and call our own: Mr. Carlos Guerra, Sister, and family at the La Muneca Cattle Company in Linn, Texas. Thank you Mr. Guerra for your introduction to the Braunvieh Breed.

I first saw this amazing and versatile breed of cattle at the La Muneca ranch in 2006. I instantly felt a calling to raise this wonderful breed of cattle. When you look at this breed you see the bone, the depth of dimension, the ability to adapt and thrive in any environment. Big boned, squared hipped, great momma's, easy breeders, along with early maturing cattle that will fit in any program across the country. My boys have had great success showing these cattle and hope to continue to build on this success. We have many lofty goals with this breed and will continue to build and grow with them and the industry. Along with the Braunvieh breed, we also raise and show Herefords, along with several Shorthorns and Chi/Maine cows for show steers, our focus will continue to be on raising and showing heifers, building on this success, and hopefully adding to yours too.
